Vivoactive 3 not syncing. MonaE over 6 years ago. Hi all - Is anyone having an issue syncing their VA3? My activities are syncing fine with the desktop Garmin Connect (and my IOS mobile app) but there are apparently updates that aren't syncing. I've tried deleting and re-installing Garmin Connect on my desktop but still won't upload the updates.
The VA3 by itself is not designed for open water swimming. It can be used for pool swimming, but the heart rate from the oHRM will be worthless. The Garmin HRM-SWIM chest strap is ANT+ compatible and should work fine the VA3 for swimming. Double check with Garmin as I'm not 100% sure how well the VA3 will receive signals underwater from a chest

I DISAGREE with HerrR with Garmin misleading features-- Garmin STILL advertises 13 hours of gps activity with "typical use" -- I can barely get 7-8 hours. I have not read of anyone's experience coming even close to 13 hours gps. I agree watch is not for elite athletes. But, let's face it, very few of us in this forum are elites.
I have exactly the same problem. Contacted Garmin many, many times about this issue over the last 3 months. I got an email requesting I send a report to them, which I did, but no-one ever got back to me. Contacted Garmin again and they requested I reinstall Connect. Did that and the situation didn 't change.
Vivoactive 3 inaccurate heart rate reading. 6466406 over 3 years ago. Hi, Whenever doing any exercise (mainly HIIT) my heart rate is not accurate, I will be sweating from head to toe and heart pumping, the measurement will be sitting at 60 BPM A lot of friends I train with have the same watch and do not experience this A dedicated
Venu 3âs new V5 HR sensor is hardware-capable of ECG (if Garmin turns it on), the Vivoactive 5 is not. Venu 3 has a microphone and normal speaker for voice calls, Vivoactive 5 has beeper only. Venu 3 has a barometric altimeter for stair tracking and outside altitude/elevation, Vivoactive 5 does not. Venu 3 has three buttons, Vivoactive 5 has two.
I don't think this is what is happening as there is no HR set threshold that I know of that can be set in the Vivoactive 3 (I have checked all the HR related menus). My heart rate wasn't particularly fast last night when the alert displayed so that's another reason why I think your answer is suspect at this time.
