Neither of the interior bootights nor the red centre tailgate light work on my car yet the rear number plate lights do. I have tried searching Google and various forums and all I have found is that the boot and glove box lights share a common fuse. The glove box light works. One way to test it is to take the outside cap off the switch and then cut the wires and touch them together. If the window pops open then the switch is bad. You could just order a new switch and be ready to replace it if it's bad or not. Once you cut the wires, I would probably just replace the switch. It's only $60. Apparently my rear window defroster went to warmer weather, It decided to stop working the other day. I have checked the fuse under the hood and the one under the back seat, the big square one. they are there When I push the rear defrost button on the dash the light does come on the button, but no heat to the rear window. My 2011 328xi (42k mi) is not blowing out heat. The front windshield defroster, heated seats and heated steering wheel works ok; not sure about the rear defroster. Granted, it's about 2 degrees in upstate NY these last few days, but come on! I called the dealer, and they said they were getting a bunch of calls on it. App Vay Tiền.
